Darko is the exclusive in-store display partner for Dyson in all of north america.
Dyson is known for making top-of-the-line products with museum-worthy designs. While their vacuum cleaners are often the first thing that comes to mind, they also offer award-winning hand dryers, hair dryers, bladeless fans, and heaters.
They needed a solution that could show off their entire product line while also remaining flexible enough to fit multiple store layouts, environments, and retailer guidelines. And as a design-forward brand, their displays need to do all of that without compromising on aesthetics.

The Retail Challenge
Dyson launched a global initiative to create an incredible customer demo experience. Not only did it need to grab attention, it had to incorporate the brand language and showcase the full line of products – Floorcare, Haircare, and Environmental Controls (fans, humidifiers, lighting) – with a look that lived up their design.
The Approach
We took the intent of their design refresh and ran with it. That led us to exploring a modular system that could translate the concept into different retail footprints across North America. This is an approach built for the long run. It’s sustainable, lets us address unique market requirements (like custom device security per retail channel, and made it easy to swap surfaces for simple updates.

Our engineering solution meant lower costs at scale, flexibility for more customization and adapting to local markets, all while weathering a mid-stream switch from offshore to domestic production.
